Fuller Center for Housing -- Iowa Lakes

Work has begun at the Fuller Center for Housing Iowa Lakes project house in Terril. Four board members and two board members' children completed the dirty job of tearing out the old plaster in the upstairs, making it ready for a reconfiguration into bedrooms for Lisa's two daughters.

We will have board members and volunteers working every Saturday through May and other days, too, hoping to get the house ready by June 1, the day the family must move out of their current, temporary accommodations.

Yum-O!

You have to eat sometime on Friday night -- right? Why not come to First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji for a pasta dinner with salad, bread and dessert from 5:30-7:30. Bid on items in the silent auction and listen to the live, local and luscious sounds of local singer-songwriter Alan Morphew.

Tickets are $10 at the door or from a Fuller Center for Housing Iowa Lakes board member. $5 for children 12 and under. We have big ticket items like a trip to the Super Bowl and a guitar signed by Eric Clapton all the way down to no reserve auction items children could win as Mother's Day gifts for mom or grandma.

Can we fix it? Yes we can!

If you can swing a hammer, make a sandwich or write a check, we need your time and talent to end poverty housing in Clay and Dickinson Counties.
